Giving on Sundays

Every Sunday we receive an offering in our services. You are able to donate by cash or check in the offering, or by using your debit or credit card at the Book Nook. If you wish to receive a charitable donation receipt to be used for income tax purposes, please remember to legibly put your first and last name on an offering envelope with your offering inside.

Giving Online

We are now set-up to receive donations through the online bill payment service offered by many banks. To use this service, you need to login to your banking website, and in bills, add SMYTHE STREET CATHEDRAL as one of your bills with a bill payer account number.
Your bill payer account number is composed of your four-digit envelope number and the Giving Code from the list below, without any dashes or spaces. If your envelope number is below 1000, YOU MUST PUT A ZERO (0) in front of your number. Your Smythe Street Envelope Number can be obtained from your last years receipt for income tax purposes, from the church treasurer, or the church office, 458-8206 ext 21.  
You have to set up a separate bill payer account number with your bank for each type of giving that you want to make. These account numbers can then be used whenever you wish to donate to that specific type of giving on future occasions.                      

Example: Giving to Sunday School by envelope # 987 would have a Bill Payer Account number of: 0987SUNSCH. If that same person wanted to give a tithe, they would need to setup another Bill Payer Account number of: 0987TITHE

A Note to Royal Bank & TD Customers

The Royal Bank & the TD are not set up for giving through bill payments because of the costs involved from these two banks. We regret that if you use either the Royal or TD banks you will NOT be able to use the bill payer system for making church donations at this time. If you are a customer of Royal or TD and you would use this service if offered, please contact Richard Shupe as we are assessing the feasibility of paying to register with them.
